Nowadays the Chelsea FC is fourth in the Premier League and it´s not being easy for it to get up the ranking. But to the owner of the club, the Russian billionaire Roman Abramovich, there may be plenty of reasons to celebrate.

According to British publications “Daily Mail” and “Telegraph”, the New Year´s Eve party was organized by the Russian was full of selected celebrities, invited in extremely exclusive and close-mouthed procedures and a Red Hot Chili Peppers presentation, among other musical attractions.

Between fireworks and champagne, rock chords and snacks, this New Year´s Eve was to cost the billionaire around USD million.

Big style celebrations are not a new thing to the executive. Last year, Abramovich saw the arrival of 2011 beside guests such as moviemaker George Lucas and actress Salma Hayek, who enjoyed a Black Eyed Peas show. In past years, the musical groove of the moment was defined by artists like Prince, Beyoncé and Gwen Stefani.

To whom it may concern, the party was to be held at Abramovich´s mansion, located at Saint Barthelemy island (or “Saint Barth”, as it uses to be called by celebs such as Kate Moss, Lindsay Lohan, Brazilian Ronaldo and other ones who have properties over there or turned out to be habitués), and the guest list had nothing less than 300 names. The soiree was scheduled from 10 pm up to 4 am. One single request: everybody should have been dressed in a chic tropical style. It´s not too much to ask.
