Trinidad murder victims are children

THE two bodies found with multiple bullet wounds at St John’s Road, St Augustine on Tuesday are those of children – boys aged 16 and 17 years old.

The victims have been identified as Marlon Hall, 16, and Stefan Singh, 17.

Both had been shot in the head and chest.

Police were called to the area by residents who reported hearing gunshots at around 4.40p.m. A short time before, five men had been seen walking into a track off St John’s Road.

Police found one body in the bushes, and a second body in a nearby river. The other people in the group were not found.

A month ago, two pupils of the Success Laventille Secondary School were pulled out of a car and shot dead on the street in Laventille. The murders of Denilson Smith, 17, and Mark Richards, 15, were never solved.
