One keynote speaker is Tony Lamb, head of Latin American and the Caribbean campaign team for United Kingdom Trade and Investment (UKTI). See his profile below:
Tony Lamb has been head of the UK Trade & Investment (UKTI) team since August 2009. He has worked at UKTI and its parent department the Department for Business Innovation and Skills (BIS) spans more than 20 years primarily in the trade and inward investment area.
In his current role Tony has been involved with the planning of a number of activities to highlight the business opportunity in the Latin American and Caribbean region. In 2012 this included the planning and recruitment of the business delegations which accompanied the Prime Minister on his visits to Mexico and Brazil. He has extensive knowledge of business in Central and South America.
From 2004 to August 2009 Tony was based at the British Embassy in Vienna where he was responsible for the UKTI operations in Austria and Slovakia.
Earlier appointments in UKTI and DTI (now BIS) include the development and implementation of the Export Explorer programme, a government scheme aimed at introducing small to medium sized companies to international trade.
He has also acted as the Strategic Relationship Manager for companies in the Broadcast Technology sector.
