The elements of carnival, even when the season is over, exist during the course of the year. Take for example Jouvert in Point Fortin. It is an exuberant performance of colors and people.
It starts on a Friday night and goes straight until Sunday morning. A similar thing occurs in July. It is labeled “Carnival in July” or “Jouvert In July. From September people begin to train and get fit for carnival, pumping to the new high level, creative music called Soca.
The point I’m trying to make, is that carnival is or rather the feeling that one gets from carnival does not end when the season does. It is an indescribable feeling; it is something you are required to be present to feel the mood change from normal to ecstatic.
This feeling happens in the year the feeling to fete, to party, the club scene, Trinidad and Tobago is a wonderful place to come and relax. If you don’t believe me, do your research we are the happiest people on earth, or rather come and see for yourself, life cannot get any better when you are here enjoying Trinidad and Tobago, the culture, and the people; an experience that makes Caribbean news sometimes.
Recently the Government of Trinidad and Tobago has put into place more benefits for foreigners to enjoy when visiting our shores. Better accommodation, more site visits, better security and cleaner beaches.
Sweet Trinidad and Tobago; where people live with high spirits and non-stop energy. What I am trying to describe is like a child with a jar a cookies, you get all the satisfaction and all that you want, but bear in mind, “plenty sugar not good for you”.
There is no place I rather be, not the U.S, not the U.K, no other nation can give you the experience that we, the people of Trinidad and Tobago can give. We are an interconnected family, with the words of “ONE LOVE” echoing in our minds, hearts and every inch of our beautiful island.
