Rihanna Brings Jay-Z To Barbados To Give Insight Into Family Life

Rihanna and mentor Jay-Z travelled back to her hometown of Barbados to give her fans an insight into her family life.

The 23-year-old can be seen hanging out with her mother and younger brother at her former home, which is miles away from her wild, jetsetting celebrity lifestyle. As the clip flicks through images of RiRi’s home and photos of her from her childhood, Jay can be heard narrating the audio. “It’s nothing like family. These are the people who make you who you are. They’ve helped you grow; they’re responsible for the countless lessons in life that you’ve learned,” he says.

He adds: “There is no way that you could ever repay them for everything they’ve done for you. But that doesn’t matter; what matters is that they know your love for them will never change.”

RiRi can be heard discilplining her younger brother, saying: “You’ve got to be able to do as much work and then socialise. But work first, and as long as you’re doing fantastic in work, you can socialise as much as you want.”

The singer’s mother then adds: “And from Monday to Friday, no Facebook. Textbook.”
