Here are reggae tracks you didn’t know were produced for cinematic screens. Two cinematic experiences both by black British directors, the five-part Small Axe anthology series (which included Lovers Rock) from Steve McQueen and film The Harder They Fall from Jeymes Samuel led the way. Artists featured include Bob Marley, Barrington Levy, Dennis Brown, Toots and the Maytals, Koffee, Prince Far I, Janet Kay, Junior English and more. A memorable scene in popular Netflix series Maid also featured Sister Nancy – Bam Bam.
