Married man Mavado...?

It’s official, deejay Mavado has tied the knot.

The deejay, whose real name is David Constantine Brooks, got married in Florida, United States of America, earlier this month.

While the deejay and his management team have remained tight-lipped about the marriage, THE WEEKEND STAR has gained access to the official marriage licence documents from the Clerk of the Courts, Broward County 17th Judicial Circuit of Florida.

The document, with the marriage licence number ML-NO-2012-000059, shows the name of the deejay, his wife, their address and their dates of birth.

Among the other things on the document are their places of birth and the date for the application of the marriage licence.

For a few days now rumours have been flying around that the ‘Gully God’ had taken unto himself a bride. However, there has still not been any official word from him or his camp.

Efforts by THE WEEKEND STAR yesterday to get a comment from a member of his management team proved futile as he refused to comment.

However, when contacted, according to a representative at the Clerk of Courts office in Florida, the couple will officially receive their marriage certificate in the mail next week.

The representative also confirmed that Brooks and his bride had come into the office in order for the marriage licence to be sorted out.

Mavado’s marriage comes a little more than a year after his Alliance colleague Wayne Marshall got married to fellow artiste Tami Chynn.

Marshall’s marriage was also somewhat clouded in secrecy and only became public after their wedding ceremony.
