Caribbean news. The tickets for the historic London premiere of the film “Keeping Up With The Joneses: The Movie” are now fully sold out!
Due to an unprecedented level of demand from the public for a Caribbean film, all the tickets for the London première of the new hit comedy-thriller film “KUWTJ: The Movie” have been sold. Even after an extra allocation of tickets was released!
This screening on 27 March is not only the first Caribbean film cinema première in the UK for 2014 but it also marks history as the first full feature film from Barbados to ever be screened in an official UK cinema!
The premiere takes place at the Picturehouse Cinema in Stratford and there is not a spare seat in the house!
Discussions have now already begun, by the distributors (Sankofa Televisual), to explore the viabilities of now releasing the film more widely in the UK so that those who were not able to attend the premiere can get to see it.
Sankofa Televisual has also indicated that there are other Caribbean film premieres to come to London and other parts of the UK during 2014.
