Am I hearing right?  Only two loyal people remains on the Gaza Strip?  And to make matters worse none of those people include Popcaan or Tommy Lee.  These two people are Vanessa Bling aka Gaza Slim and Sheba.  Vybz Kartel sent a message to the popular Friday night entertainment television show, Entertainment Report (ER), throught one of his loyalties, Gaza Slim.

The message reads, “I just want u to let the people know that all a dem runnin’ aroun’ sayin’ ‘Gaza, Gaza’ are not real.  Before I came here we were ‘good.’ No animosity, but within a week of my arrest, they started giving other people managerial and booking positions. But where were these people when I was building their careers? When I was investing time and money to transform them from nobody to somebody? They are opportunists and fake. I’m not surprised because this is Dancehall and I have no problem with them making their money. But I jus’ don’t want them to be all over the place exploiting a movement that I built with blood sweat and tears when they and I know they aren’t real. I want them to stop. The only two loyal people are Slim and Sheba (the girls) and maybe it’s because they haven’t fully realized their potential.”

With all due respect to Vybz Kartel, I can remember some time ago when some prominent members were either booted from or left the

organization of their own, Vybz Kartel’s position was that the Portmore Empire is not a friendship, it is a business.  To paraphrase what he said.  So does Vybz Kartel really expect that the employees of a failed business will go and sit in the empty building until closing time, knowing there is no pay to get at the end of the month?Or is he just hurt that they moved on so quickly without him?  But he is the one who said it is business not friendship, there are no emotions is business, just logics.  And logically thinking, if my boss is not in business anymore for the moment, I am going to feel bad for him but in the meantime, I need to pay my bills, so I am either going to find another boss or become my own.

As for them exploiting his (Kartel’s) blood sweat and tears, that’s just life and dare I say business.
