So I have disappointing news for those of you who were anticipating the release of the Vybz Kartel sex tapes. The police claim that the allegations about the sex tapes are false, as they do not have in their possession, any sex tapes of Vybz Kartel. Sigh of relief for all the Gaza fans.
On a different note, he was again denied bail and the police claim that they have a strong case built against Mr. Palmer. They may not have sex tapes but the police claim that they have video evidence of the victim being beaten to death and they also have audio evidence.
However, when asked if they could state unequivocally if they saw Vybz Kartel’s image on the video evidence, administering the crime and if they could clearly make out the entertainer’s voice on the audio evidence, the police were pretty tight lipped, stating that they cannot disclose all the information just yet.
Returning to a lighter side of this trial though, I was watching, Entertainment Report (ER) on Friday night and when Kartel was disembarking the minivan with his black scandal bag in his hand I noticed a few things. One: He has managed to remain ‘brown’. So much props to him for maintaining his complexion in jail. I wonder if ah Shorty ah sneak him some bleaching cream when she bring him food? And the second thing I noticed is how dapper he looked going to court in his vest and bare tings.

And another thing I noticed was how calm he appeared to be. For someone being tried for murder he seemed awfully relaxed, smiling and all. Or is he jus putting on a face for the cameras? Or maybe he is just relaxed because he knows he had a good legal team.
Whatever the case may be he certainly seemed calm and unperturbed, as if he was just going grocery shopping. Another thing about the Entertainment Report, report about the trial, Anthony Miller just had to mention the scandal bag, Vybz Kartel had in his hand, or else, as we say in Jamaica, him nuh name weh him name. But seriously though I was wondering what was in that bag. What WAS in that bag? His shoes, maybe, because I noticed he was wearing slippers, if my eyes weren’t being fooled.
Anyway that’s all I have to say about the trial for now.
