Rapper Jay-Z has shared his joy, excitement and thankfulness at the birth of his first baby girl with wife Beyonce Knowles, by releasing an ode to the newborn entitled ‘Glory.’ He raps: “The most amazing feeling I feel, words can’t describe what I’m feeling for real. Baby I paint the sky Blue, my greatest creation was you.” Jay-Z and Beyonce fans around the world were treated to the first official acknowledgement of the birth of Blue Ivy Carter on the 3 minute track released today, which features vocals from the little girl of the moment. Talk about star power! Blue can be heard towards the end of the song crying over the soulful instrumental. I’m sure she’s destined for big things!
Many are hailing the song as a beautiful gesture, and asserting that the track is the most emotionally transparent they have heard from the artist. Jigga reveals for the first time that Beyonce had previously suffered a miscarriage, and talks openly of his apprehensiveness leading up to the Blue’s birth, “Last time the miscarriage was so tragic, we was afraid you’d disappear but nah baby you magic.”
The couple, who married in 2008 were reported to be expecting a child on numerous occasions, but have always been guarded with the intimate details of their family. Though Beyonce revealed she was pregnant at the MTV Video Awards last August the song is a rare, glimpse into the dynamics of arguably the most powerful showbiz couple on Earth.
