It’s time to recognise our community leaders

Date:

We all know someone in our community who has worked very hard for the benefit of others and who deserves recognition.

The Cabinet Office held a special event to demystify the Honours System that was supported by the Lord Lieutenant, Dr Yvonne Thompson and a distinguished panel of honour recipients who allowed the audience to hear directly from people recognised by the honours system about their work and achievements.

The British honours system is steeped in history and very widely admired, but they need to ensure that it is truly inclusive and that successes and achievements are widely celebrated by the system in each and every community. So you are invited to submit applications on behalf of people you believe deserving of public recognition.
