“We are confident this collaboration will expose the event to more athletes and will grow it in level of participation and international acclaim, while “Macca” will be a fantastic inspiration to first-timers taking to the sport. We wish him success in this year’s event.”
Chris McCormack, “Macca”, thinks the Caribbean island of Nevis is magic: “I am looking forward to returning to Nevis to race again, the island is magic, and the course presents a unique challenge in an amazing environment.
I have raced in some incredible places in my life, but Nevis is seriously spectacular. It is such a beautiful, energetic and ‘community feel’ race in paradise, and I am so happy that Triathlon has returned to the West Indies.”
The Nevis Triathlon event organiser, Winston Crooke – who the Editor of Active Caribbean has had the pleasure of cycling with on the island – says: “Having Chris on board with us is a huge bonus for the Nevis Triathlon. We have been making steady progress over the last twelve years and now “Macca” and his team will take us to the next level. It will truly be an event not to be missed.”
