To subscribe to the view that values of the 60’s and 70’s should should be upheld to the exclusion of all else is ludicrous as times have changed and one must embrace progress. However there are certain values in the opinion of this writer that should never change such as greeting strangers, saying thank you, excuse me and please.
Many of us who cherish these ‘prehistoric’ values also believe that schools and libraries should put on display books that are age appropriate and in some cases appropriate period. Here’s a disturbing video of the shock a mother encountered at a British library. Some things are just not defensible!
