As a genre, Reggae has always held mothers in high regard. From Dennis Brown’s classic “Songs My Mama Used to Sing,” to Dennis Brown and Beres Hammond’s “Mama’s Love” toSizzla Kalonji’s famous ode “Thank You Mama” to Christopher Martin’s “Mama,” the lyrics of these songs and more do much of the speaking – our appreciation of Mother’s can’t be measured.
Mother’s Day in the UK is Sunday March 27th and Reggae will play a prominent role in the celebrations. Tune in to hear your favorite DJ play meaningful songs that celebrate the strength, determination and love of Mothers. Article and photo courtesy VP Records
