The GUBA Expo will be a two-part business centred event, with each day dedicated to specific areas of business growth. The premise of the GUBA Expo is to equip businesses with knowledge, procurement insights and supply procedures for multinational companies in the UK. A dialogue will be open between exhibitors, buyers and attendees, creating a platform for buyers to connect and offer investment prospects for exhibitors.
The GUBA Expo will be centred on connecting Small and Medium-sized African businesses (SMBs) seeking to establish their products in the British mainstream market. These SMBs will gain access to industry experts who will share knowledge and advice on achieving industry-set benchmarks. The event will also feature exhibitions, networking and invaluable workshops.
The objective to increase trade between the UK and Africa to bring about economic change for Africa and the UK, has garnered support from like-minded dignitaries and businesses. The Ghana Minister of Tourism- Hon Elizabeth Ofosu-Adjare has rendered her support for the GUBA Expo. Observing the impact SMBs have on the economy and tourism opportunities in Ghana, the Honourable Minister will be attending the expo to interact and view the products on offer, and urge for more Ghana-made products.
Hon Nick Raynsford, MP for Greenwich and Woolwich also recognises the significance and impact of businesses on growth within the borough. Nick Raynsford will be at the GUBA Expo in support of more businesses within the borough and in London. Councillor John Fahy, Deputy Leader of the Royal Borough of Greenwich will also be in attendance.
Other confirmed buyers, companies and outlets that will be present at the GUBA Expo include: Tesco, ASOS, Phase Eight, Paks, Ade’s Food, Top Shop, Top Man, Waterloo Body Station, Dizz Foods, Global Telecom and Waterloo Body Station. These buyers and procurement experts will be sampling the products on offer and interacting with the exhibitors and fellow attendees.
The first day of the GUBA Expo will be an opportunity for attendees to attend the informative workshops. Experts from various companies will speak on areas such as: Business Planning, Going Global on a Budget, How to Pitch & win Contracts, Expanding Brands with Social Media, Branding & Packaging, Tax, Exports and Imports. Attendees and registered exhibitors will get to partake in Q&A sessions alongside these workshops.
The second day of the expo will be a showcase of products by the registered exhibitors which will include: Clothes and Accessories, Furniture, Cosmetics, Food & Beverages and many more.
