Spiritual commentary. This article is dedicated to anyone who is waiting on God to answer a prayer. I am a living testimony that God answers prayers. The articles I write are based from my own life experience, my walk with God, research and biblical readings.
I recently saw the movie “Exodus: Gods and Kings” The Greek word Exodus means going out. The Egyptian and Israelite characters in the movie were predominantly white which is inaccurate amongst many other facts.
In the movie Pharaoh survived the closing of the sea but, in the book of Exodus 14:28 it reads “The water flowed back and covered the chariots and horsemen the entire army of Pharaoh that had not followed the Israelites into the sea.
Not one of them survived” That’s why it’s important to read the bible to get the raw word of God and not rely on movies to spoon feed you. God answered the prayers of the Israelites and they were enslaved 430 years. “Now the length of time the Israelite people lived in Egypt was 430 years at the end of the 430 years to the very day all the Lord’s divisions left Egypt” -Exodus 12:40-41
Keep praying, God loves you and cares about your suffering. The Lord said in Exodus 3:7 “I have indeed seen the misery of my people in Egypt. I have heard them crying out because of their slave drivers and I am concerned about their suffering” There were times when I’ve cried myself to sleep, times when I spoke to God while praying and asked if he has listened to my prayers.
Exodus 16:12 “I have heard the complaints of the Israelites. So tell them, ‘Tonight you will eat meat. And in the morning you will have all the bread you want. Then you will know you can trust the Lord, your God.
God answered my prayer. I now have a new life in a new land. To God be the glory. God answers prayers if he did it for me, a sinner then he will surely do it for you. Remain encouraged.
