With sad and heavy hearts we announce the passing of GWENDOLYN JOSEPH-HACKETT of St.  James, Barbados, born on the 8th of July 1921.

GWENDOLYN JOSEPH-HACKETT   was the oldest surviving Barbadian resident in Nigeria, arriving in the country over a decade before its independence in 1960.

Until her death, on the 10th of February 2014, MS GWENDOLYN JOSEPH-HACKETT worked with the Catholic Mission, at Babalosa, Mushin area of Lagos State, Nigeria. She was buried on the 19th of February 2014 at Athan cemetery, Yaba, Lagos.

She was 93 years old.
