Dancehall’s Power Couple Split

It came as a shocker to the dancehall fans to find out that Dancehall’s most popular couple is no longer one couple but now two singles.

Beenie Man recently announced on an overseas radio station that He and wife D’Angel have finally decided to call it quits after a very public marriage and estrangement and getting back together recently.

This break up came shortly after the couple announced their reunion as a couple.
This break up immediately took me as a shocker, then after a second it did not, simply because you just never really know what goes on in people’s lives as they show you only what they want you to see.

A couple of weeks ago nobody would have thought that the couple would have split so soon again, after the song they sang together recently and the Mega Mart promotions with both of them appearing together and looking so happy together.
The streets are talking and what they are saying is that D’Angel was missing in action (MIA) at Beenie Man’s birthdays bash held at Club Riddim but obviously that alone could not have caused the divorce, so my assumption is that there were obviously internal problems prior to Beenie Man’s birthday.
To put a funny spin on it though. Beenie Man and D’Angel nuh see seh if dem waa dem relationship fi work dem fi stop sing song bout it. First D’Angel go sing bout baby father den she an Beenie Man do dat annoying song name Beenie Man n dem lef d first time den now dem go back an not even a week after dem announce seh dem back together dem sing song again bout Time of My Life an bout a week afta d song dem announce seh dem lef again.

(Obviously I am exaggerating with the time line). Leave unu relationship outa unu song dem man an maybe it will work out betta fi unnu.

Troubled couple Beenie Man and D'Angel

Fun and joke aside though, whenever two people decide to get married it is never my desire to see them getting a divorce, but at the same time I would not encourage anyone to stay in an unhappy union.

So Beenie, D’Angel, if you guys thought that divorce was the best option for you, then more power to you for making a decision in your best interest and not making public opinion influence your decision.

Cuz we nuo seh unu go through it wid people jus a wait fi see unu marriage fail so dem cuda did seh ‘Me did tell yuh’.
