They Say it’s a Friendly Clash

If you have been living under a rock and did not know, Dancehall’s titans, Beenie Man and Bounty Killer are at it again, not long after they called truce.

They said at a recent staging of Money Mondays, that this feud is just a lyrical one and that they good with each other, personally.

These two artists have been at each others’ throats for years and if they can enter a friendly, lyrical confrontation, to spice up the music scene a bit, then that is their thing.

Fighter Bounty Killer

Though, other persons might say that they need to take a step back from this ‘war’ which has been going on for over a decade.  But my thing is that, if both artists see an opportunity and want to take it then fine.  Because let us be honest, if you live in Jamaica or have any knowledge of the Jamaican music industry, you would know that this is the ‘war’ season.

For most places in the world, Christmas is the time for peace, but not Jamaica, in Jamaica, Christmas is the time for war.  Not literal war of course, but a lyrical war.

On the other hand, I think that both artists should leave D’Angel who is both of them ex woman, out of their thing.  They both have been calling her name in their songs, and Bounty Killer even went as far as referring to her as that popular word that some females are referred to, which is suppose to be a female dog.

Fighter Beenie Man

Beenie Man and Bounty killer have more than enough material to work with, if they want to have a ‘clash’.  They do not need to be calling D’Angel’s name every chance they get.  Come on guys, dig a little deeper into your creativity, you do not have to go so low.  Calling the lady’s name is a cheap shot.
