In Caribbean news. This is the highlight of the Commonwealth Countries League fundraising activity organised annually with the help of Commonwealth High Commissioners and spouses together with local residents here in the UK.
It is a spectacular occasion which showcases the unique crafts,cultures and culinary diversity of the Commonwealth.

2013 COMMONWEALTH FAIR GRAND DRAW
As in previous years we have been able to secure some excellent prizes for our Grand Draw. This year’s top prize is two economy class return air tickets London/Grenada/London plus seven nights bed and breakfast for two at the Flamboyant Hotel kindly donated by British Airways and Flamboyant Hotel & Villas, Grenada.
Other prizes are:
2nd Prize: Pendant Jewel: 4.02cts Blue Sri Lankan round sapphire with diamond set loop in 18ct gold kindly donated by J.D.Boles of BGI Laboratory.
3rd Prize: Two economy class return air tickets London/Malta/London plus seven nights stay for two people in a Deluxe Suite, including American buffet breakfast at the InterContinental, Malta, kindly donated by Air Malta & Intercontinental Hotel, Malta.
4th Prize: An oval ruby and diamond set gold chain kindly donated anonymously.
5th Prize: An overnight stay for two in Corinthia Hotel, London, kindly donated by Corinthia Hotels.
6th Prize: A Pakistan carpet kindly donated by H E Wajid Shamsul Hasan.
7th Prize: A 32 piece china bone dinner set kindly donated by the High Commission of Bangladesh
8th Prize: A £100 John Lewis gift voucher kindly donated by Mrs Shameen Ali.
9th Prize: Two theatre tickets kindly donated by Mr Andrew Fox.
10th Prize: A case (6 bottles) of sparkling wine kindly donated by Mrs Judy Hardy.
11th Prize: A £50 Marks & Spencer gift voucher kindly donated by Mrs Louisa Service, OBE.
12th Prize: Afternoon tea for two at the Dial Bar & Restaurant, Covent Garden,London kindly donated Bahamas Host Association.
13th Prize: Two bottles of champagne kindly donated by Mrs Caroline Strachan.
14th Prize: A Sheaffer ball pen & pencil set kindly donated anonymously.
15th Prize: A bottle of Clark’s pure white rum kindly donated by Mrs J Bleasdille-Lumsden

The full prize list together with raffle tickets has been sent out to Members and High Commissions and we hope that everyone will buy or sell as many tickets as they possibly can as we rely on the sale of tickets to significantly boost the eventual proceeds from the Fair.
