CaribDirect a web portal dedicated to providing timely entertainment, business, social commentary and political insights from around the Caribbean to a global Caribbean audience has been in negotiations with Sandal Solé®, designer and manufacturer of Nation Flag Footwear and accessories for twenty Caribbean Islands, that was inspired by the pride and exotic fashion sense attributed to the Caribbean, for a few months to construct a commercial arrangement that would combine the global market reach of CaribDirect with the product quality and diversity of Sandal Solé® and its affiliates.
Lisa Mosley a prolific dancer, choreographer, educator and trainer has been a sponsor and featured company on “Tempo Networks, LLC” (the first and only pan-Caribbean media and entertainment company producing and offering culturally relevant content on all media platforms (on-air, online, on-mobile and on the ground). Having such a diverse background in Arts and Education, Lisa Mosley is expected to devise unique programs in the fields of beauty, barbering, hair dressing, locks management and music for the CaribDirect audience.
CaribDirect is pleased at the prospect of increasing its growing audience to the United States mainland while enlisting blogging services from talented United States Virgin Islands students at the University of the Virgin Islands and abroad. David Roberts says, ‘Lisa’s work as an educational leader we believe is key to enabling us to engage with, not only American youth but Caribbean youngsters everywhere.’
Though CaribDirect has been concentrating on garnering support from the Caribbean region we have been exploring media and communications possibilities in Africa and the United States. Our mandate is to form strategic partnerships with individuals or companies that share our vision and possess either the skill or technology or both that will enable us to maximise our penetration into these markets. Alliances such as this is pivotal in reaching youngsters and providing the kinds of information, entertainment and so on, on the platforms they prefer such as Facebook, Twitter, MySpace and the like.
Face Of The Caribbean (www.faceofthecaribbean.net), an initiative of Sandal Solé® (www.sandalsole.net) and business partner, CEO, Cleve Stridiron of Images By Design (www.imagesbydesignvi.com) is a project we are very excited to collaborate on as it brings the talent and beauty of Caribbean women to television across the Caribbean. It is our goal to broadcast and sponsor the Face of the Caribbean contest, to be held in Jamaica in 2012, on CaribDirect.com.
