A Brian Lara Invitational XI v A Warwickshire CCC 1990’s XI Supporting the Rwanda Cricket Stadium Foundation
Caribbean news. A team of cricketing stars will come together on Sunday 14th September under the leadership of Brian Lara, one of the greatest batsmen the game has ever seen.  He will captain a Brian Lara Invitational XI which includes Ashes-winning, former England captain Andrew Strauss, former England wicket keeper Paul Nixon and the former England women’s captain and now head of women’s cricket at the ECB, Clare Connor.

They will play a one day charity match against Brian Lara’s old Warwickshire team mates, with whom he won three out of four domestic trophies and shared a number of his many records including the highest ever first class score of 501 in 1994.

  1. The match takes place at the Wormsley Cricket Ground, Stokenchurch, High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire HP14 3YE

The event will raise funds for the Rwanda Cricket Stadium Foundation (RCSF), a charity established to build the first dedicated international standard cricket stadium in the Rwandan capital Kigali.

Gates Open 11.00am – Play Begins 2.00pm – Close of Play / Presentations 6.30pm
