In 2008 London teenager Shakilus Townsend played by John Boyega, determines to put his delinquent past behind him and turn his life around, hoping that new girl-friend Samantha Joseph(Simona Brown-Zivkovska) will help him.
Whilst he is smitten with her he fails to see that she already has a vicious boyfriend Danny McLean(Malachi Kirby) who is murderously jealous.
At McLean’s bidding Samantha Joseph delivers Shakilus to him and his gang. The dramatisation of this case was aired on BBC last year with the part of the victim played incredibly well by John Boyega.
“My Murder” brings to a close our quartet of October screenings. This time we focus on our youth, we’re teaming up with the youth arm of the Diaspora Debating Association(DDA).
If your young person wants to be on the young persons panel, please get them to contact us at BCC or DDA before the event.
Please bring as many young people as you can. Let’s interact with the youth in our community. Let’s contribute in making that difference.
