Armed Robbery

On Monday March 12th at approximately 07.30 p.m. two men, one of the armed with a shotgun, dressed completely in black and their face covered stormed into Manchung Supermarket on the L.B. Scot road.

According to the manager with the initials S.L. the security-guard and he were both threatened by the robber with the gun while the other robber removed cash from the cash register.

After taking the cash they both fled the scene in the direction of the MAC-school.

This case is under investigation by the Special Robbery Unit.

Results of traffic controls

On Monday March 12th at approximately 08.00 a.m. the Police Department started their controls for unpaid road tax for year 2012, which ended at approximately 11.00 a.m.

During these controls a total of 150 vehicles were checked, 92 fines were given and 26 vehicles were towed.

These controls will continue indefinitely.
