All invited to attend a virtual meeting today organised by Dr Velma McClymont writer / director of WomanzVue: Strip and Search – The Adultification of Black Children Date: Thursday 24 March 2022; Time: 6.30pm GMT; 1.30pm Jamaica; 1.30pm NY; 1.30pm Toronto.

A team of Black professionals will discuss the violation of a 15-year old schoolgirl who was taken out of her exam and subjected to a ‘strip-search’ by the Metropolitan Police (while menstruating) “without another adult present”. The dehumanisation of this victim, referred to as Child Q, has triggered an outpouring of emotions in the black community across London.

In response, WomanzVue has brought together a panel of community activists to discuss the adultification of Black children, inequality in education, etc. Please save the date and feel free to share the attached flyer and Zoom link with your networks. Kind regards, Dr Velma McClymont (Director of WomanzVue). Join Zoom Meeting https://us02web.zoom.us/j/88568604176?pwd=
