Dear National and Friends of Dominica,

On the 3rd November 2018, the Commonwealth of Dominica will celebrate its 40th Anniversary of Independence. This momentous occasion not only marks 40 years of independence, but it also celebrates our resilience and fortitude as a nation, especially in light of Hurricane Maria and the recent storm alert.

In celebration of this prestigious occasion, the Dominica High Commission supported by the Dominica National Development and Disaster Fund (DNDDF) invites you to this year’s Thanksgiving Mass which will be held at Westminster Cathedral on Saturday 27th October at 1:45pm. We have many exciting features including a guest of honour from Dominica, traditional Dominican songs and Saxophonist. The service will also be an opportunity to offer thanks and gratitude to all those who stood with Dominica in its time of need after the devastation of Hurricane Maria last year. In addition, in a partnership with Discover Dominica Authority, a new product will be launched to help promote Dominica as a tourism destination.

A cocktail reception will then follow from 4pm to 6pm, to which attendance is via RSVP only. Please follow the link for more information and to reserve your place at the reception.

We look forward to welcoming you to Dominica’s 40th Anniversary of Independence celebration and we invite everyone to wear their national colours and costume for the special occasion.

Yours sincerely,

Janet Charles
