Revolt TV

Once again, Sean Coombs (The Man of Many Names) is venturing into new Business Ventures

His long touted Revolt TV channel has been confirmed to start broadcasting on NBC in July 2013

The station proposes to deliver music videos, live music performances, news and interviews with a large majority sourced through social media

Coombs has said of the channel “We’re building this platform for artists to reach an extraordinary number of people in a completely different way. Revolt will be live, like all great moments in television history. It’s your channel to do what you want to do, how you want to do it.”

He further stated his intention for artists to “show your art the way you want to show your art — uncut, raw, and uncensored — not destined by the charts and who’s pop”

Beyoncé and Husband announce new Summer Tours for 2013

King J and Lady B (or Jay-Z and Beyoncé) are not letting the responsibilities of parenthood slow them down. Both have recently announced new world tour dates for 2013.

Jay-z has partnered with Justin Timberlake on their Legends of the Summer Tour kicking off on July 17th in Tornato, Ontario and visiting San Francisco, Vancouver, London and Miami over 30 days.

Not one to miss out on the action, Beyoncé has also announced The Mrs Carter World Tour kicking off on the 15th April at the Serbi Kombank Arena in Belgrade on a four month non-stop extravaganza ending in Brooklyn on the 3rd of August

Once both Beyoncé and Jay-z have completed their individual tours, the patter of tiny feet will be heard in the Carter household once more as Beyoncé has recently announced during an interview with Oprah Winfrey that both have decided to try for another baby.

While some stars appear to be on the up and up, some seem to be slipping further down…

Former Murder Inc. star Ja Rule was released from Oneida Federal Prison on the 21.02.2013 after a two year stretch for the illegal possession of a firearm, however the sweet smell of freedom may not be his to enjoy for too long as the federal government preparing charges of tax evasion totalling 1.1 million dollars on earnings the star made between 2004 – 2006

The rapper born Jeffrey Aitkins has said “”I in no way attempted to deceive the government or do anything illegal, I was a young man who made a lot of money… I didn’t know how to deal with these finances, and I didn’t have people to guide me, so I made mistakes.”

Will Smith Actor, Musician, Public Figure etc, the list goes on and on, can this man not put a foot wrong, maybe not but the same cannot be said for his relatives…

His Brother in law Dee Lawrence Downs has been arrested on federal drug charges.

Downs married to Smiths younger sister Eilen was arrested while purchasing 5kilos of coke from an undercover police officer on the February 19th. Currently on bail his trial is scheduled for the April 15th.

Everyone knows Beyoncé, everyone knows Kelly but what has happened to Michelle

The former Destiny’s Child member made a brief appearance during Beyoncé’s Super bowl half time how has signed up to produce and star in her own reality TV show “My Sisters Keeper”

Barrington Levy caught up in Jamaican Flag Burning Controversy

A German ad from Saturn Electronics has sparked a major demonstration after the Jamaican Flag was set alight.

The ad set in a coffee shop original concept was to show what can happen when using sub-standard electronic equipment resulting in the flag which was hanging from a wall to catch fire and resulted in the owners trying to extinguish this.

Although the ad itself was not meant to provoke any negative reaction, Barrington Levy who’s song Murderer is used in the ad has been outraged and concept ““They got permission to use my song… they didn’t say what they were going to do with my song but if they did say they were going to use my song to burn my country flag… that would be a total disrespect to my thing and my country and my people… not only burning it but trampling it like that is a total disrespect,”
