A Taste Of Caribbean Poetry: Adieu to you

There’s nothing like the scent of dew

Staff Writer - Latoya Wakefield

as a day rises…anew

Grateful to Jah that I’m alive

So in love with the sunrise

No greater luxury than the couches of love

Soaked in its essence, lost in its grace

feels so amazing, being in Cupid’s daze

Stop the clocks so I can stay in your embrace

Entangle your body with mine, Wind

make me scream, make me sing

in the rain, all day…until dusk

Insatiablity is a pleasant must

The threshold of ectasy, Rose,do you dare to enter?

The epitome of love lays in your center

Lay with me, with you I’m not afraid

Viavacity endures…no black, white or gray

Rays, with you I’ll never stray

You keep the path clear as you brighten up my days

You’re the reason that I breathe…that I still believe

You pave my destiny

Nature I wanna marry you

You love me without  me telling you how to

Our flaws are in time, we’ve got the blessing of the Divine

Just whisper that you’ll be mine

Finally I see that true love  exists

Putting the magic in me without even a kiss

1 plus 1 equals two

Lust, infatuation, obssession… adieu to you
