When he came out with Naa Sell out on the One Day riddim, that song was huge and he was riding on a high, and I was enjoying that one as well. Even my parents loved this song. Whenever I was at a party and that song came on I would grab my friend’s hand and we would start modeling all over the dance floor, displaying our friendship on the dance floor, as did a lot of the other patrons.
However, despite my love for this song, I just still thought that he could not
pull off another hit as big as that one or any at all. Then came Naa Sell Out Part 2, and I loved this song almost as much as I loved the first, but the making of a sequel to the first song, in my mind, only fermented my opinion that he would just be another one hit wonder with one or two hit songs, with the second song not being as popular as the first, as this is like a trademark of one hit wonders, they make a hit song and then they make a part 2. I thought he would have been an artist like Braga (Braga did the song “Braga Dagga Dat” and failed to produce anymore hits) See video here.
But boy did he prove me wrong! Instead of fading out after his friendship promotion songs, he remained constant, producing, hits after hits, and jus a shell dung stage show after stage show. He even had his share of controversy, with his dispute with fellow artist, I Octane. He got a few hits out of that controversy as well.
Right now Khago has one of the hottest songs in the country, which has been burning up the charts and the radio airwaves. Yup you guessed it; the song I am talking about is Tun Up di Ting.
