The United Groups of Grenada will be holding yet again another spectacular Gala Dinner in celebration of Grenada’s 39th Anniversary of Independence on Saturday 2nd February 2013. See flyer and menu details below…

Grenada Support Group

The group was founded within the confines of the Grenada High Commission in 1983. Over the years it has evolved and an important objective is to fund-raise for projects in health, education and the arts.

The group was instrumental in the installation of the much needed Kidney Dialysis unit in Grenada and continues to maintain support.
Currently the group is supporting a Twinning project between The Holy Cross Parish, Catford, London and Our Lady Help of Christians, Beaulieu, St. Georges. Grenada . The lives of the children from both parishes will be enriched from the important experiences shared.

The objectives of the GVHC are:
1. The relief of sickness in the State of Grenada, and its dependencies of Carriacou and Petit Martinique; supporting charitable work of hospitals and other similar institutions through financial and material contributions.
2. The relief of sickness in the Caribbean territories in such ways as the Executive Committee may from time to time decide; and the rendering of relief to persons who are in circumstances of need, hardship and distress.
3. To raise the awareness of health issues amongst the African/ Caribbean community in Britain…

St John’s (Grenada) Education Trust

Library The St John’s Library group was formed in October 1997 by Mr Curtis Allister Francis who donated a plot of land, for a library to be built at Gouyave, St John’s , for the benefit of Grenada .
The group was registered as a charity in 1999 with a change of name to St John’s ( Grenada ) Educational Trust.
One of our many benefactors included, Mrs Violet Anderson Cubbin, now deceased.
The library was completed in 2006 and officially opened in June of that year. Although the main purpose of the group was to build the library, they continue to maintain an interest and support for the further education of the young people, in the Parish of St. John.
