Exercising can be painful, but it helps us to maintain a healthy lifestyle. Doctors recommend that everyone practice a healthy lifestyle which includes regular exercise habits such as taking short walks, swimming and simply taking the stairs instead of the elevator. Exercise can be done at home or at the gym; or just about anywhere you feel comfortable, relaxed and focused. Going to the gym can be a drag and exercising at home can become very repetitive and boring.

Summer is approximately three months away and it’s around this time we find people rushing to the gym. Many people go to the gym for the wrong reasons and hence, it won’t be long before they throw in the towel, call it quits or simply abandon their commitment. Everyone wants to be in the very best shape they can be, and that involves presenting the best image and body possible. And simply being the perfect ‘me’ is everyone’s outlook. Every guy wants to look like a ‘hunk’ and every girl wants to look like ‘Barbie’, with the toned arms and legs.

Often times we venture to the gym expecting instant gratification or to be ‘buffed’ in a few hours. However, going to the gym doesn’t always make you lose weight faster. It takes a lot of hard work and dedication, the less you whine the more you put out; no pain no gain. If you lack energy it’s another reason to exercise. Exercising will increase your energy as your speed, strength and stamina increases, which will also improve your sex life. This is because when you exercise the body releases good hormones called ‘dopamine’ which gives you a good feeling.

There are many reasons why you should go to the gym to exercise

The gym is a good place to exercise but many people have their objections, they believe that the gym is simply not for everyone. You have to know your limits when you exercise. If you are easily discouraged and have little or no equipment sooner or later the exercises will seem like a ‘breeze’ and you will need to advance your level of exercise. In contrast, the gym has equipment to accommodate your advance progress.

It’s known that gym membership can be expensive, which can be enough to deter anyone from going. However, the gym can be quite affordable considering its various amenities like personal trainers, access to a variety of equipment and health seminars.

Even though the home is a good place to start, guidance may be needed and those infomercial videos almost never work.

Although it takes self-Motivation and determination to reach your set goals, it really helps to be in an environment where the people are all focused on achieving the same or even similar goals.

When it comes to health and fitness, people like to see others that look similar to themselves.  In addition, it also helps to have a personal trainer for assistance who will help you to meet your goals and give professional advice. There is also more Equipment of better quality to work with. The gym provides a variety of equipment that is aimed at working all the muscles, even the ones we didn’t know existed. In the home we don’t normally have as much equipment to work with; hence, after a while we become bored with our entire routine. Doing cardio-vascular exercises will help but we need resistance exercises as well, this is where we find that most people mess up as they are clueless about the techniques and end up with physical injuries.

Thus, the gym can be a wonderland for many; for a better body, a better smile and a healthier lifestyle. Life just keeps getting better.
