The establishment is however more than just a restaurant lounge doubling as an entertainment ground. According to St. Rose, “given the important role that food, rest and recreation play in our everyday lives, our call to action is to leave every customer that come through our doors physically satisfied, mentally rejuvenated and emotionally refreshed.” In addition to hosting its own set of events like ‘Crab Wednesdays,’ the venue can also be used for private functions like weddings, receptions, corporate engagements and the like. Fuelled by premium brand Heineken, the venue boasts a VIP Green room which can be customized to clients’ needs.
The Mangrove Lounge and Entertainment Ground’s project dovetails nicely with government’s concept of village tourism and has already provides much economic stimulus for the area during its construction/set-up phase. In addition, some twenty-two (22) people from the Marigot and surrounding communities have been trained and are now employed with the establishment.
