In Jamaica news. With Vybz Kartel behind bars on what is now only one murder charge, his ride or die chick, the famous Shorty, has been holding things down for the entertainer until he is blessed with the freedom, that the rest of us may take for granted.

With that said, Kartel’s Shorty has decided to take a step into the music business herself, following in the footsteps of the common-law husband.  Shorty has started her own record label called, Short Boss.  In an interview with Winford Williams, the Short Boss spoke about her record label which recently produced one of the newest Vybz Kartel songs, School Song which is a school anthem, encouraging children to stay in school, study hard, stay away from skin bleaching and blah blah blah.  She also spoke about missing her man among other things that the public has been speculating.

When quizzed about when that song was recorded, Shorty maintained that Vybz Kartel did a lot of songs before going to jail as he records heavily and that this is just one of those prerecorded songs that are only now being put on a riddim released.

Additionally, when asked if Vybz Kartel is still bleaching in jail, Shorty at first declined to answer, but later added that bleaching products are not allowed in jail.  When asked about Vybz Kartel getting special treatment in jail, her response was that she has no way of knowing that as she is not in jail.

Shorty also spoke about her children with Vybz Kartel, and how well they are doing in school.  She also mentioned that they too will be featured on her record label, as they have inherited their father’s musical abilities.

As it related to her record label, Shorty was adamant that she is “the boss”, not Vybz Kartel.
