Repatriation of St Lucians due to COVID-19

Dear Saint Lucia National;

Please find below relevant information pertaining to the efforts of the Saint Lucia High Commission at repatriation to Saint Lucia, our Nationals who have been stranded here due to the closure of our Borders in Saint Lucia as a result of COVID-19. This has been a collaborative effort between the Caucus of CARICOM High Commissions and British Airways.

LONDON to BARBADOS

The Saint Lucia High Commission (London) has been able to secure access to seats on a British Airways charter to Barbados. This flight will depart from Heathrow Airport in London, on Wednesday 3rd June 2020 at 11:20am.

British Airways has instituted special one-way fares which are exclusively available through the four Travel Agencies listed below. The starting price for economy tickets is £379. Fares up to business class are possible.

If you have already registered with the High Commission expressing an interest in being repatriated as soon as a flight becomes available, please contact one of the travel agents listed above today or as soon as possible to make a booking and pay for this flight from London to Barbados.

BARBADOS TO SAINT LUCIA

We have also been able to arrange with LIAT for onward travel to Saint Lucia from Barbados on arrival of the British Airways flight into Barbados. One of the terms and conditions of getting onto the British Airways flight from London, is that all non-Barbados Nationals must depart Barbados on the same day of arrival of this British airways flight on Wednesday, 3rd June 2020.

LIAT will make Charter flights available through the Government of Saint Lucia for all Saint Lucia Nationals and other OECS countries for this purpose at a fare not exceeding (£175 to be confirmed) per person as long as we can satisfy the agreed amount of seats required by LIAT to make the flight viable.

SAINT LUCIA HEALTH PROTOCOLS

The Department of Foreign Affairs, and the Ministry of Home Affairs are guided by the protocols issued by the Government of Saint Lucia, including conditions for quarantine, for persons entering Saint Lucia from 1st June, 2020. Please be informed that ALL persons entering Saint Lucia will be subjected to a mandatory 14 day quarantine period during which time there shall daily checks by our Health Authorities. Also all persons booking on British Airways and LIAT must satisfy the Health and Safety and Pre-Screening procedures required by both airlines.
