Manhunt on for St. Martin Armed Robbery Suspect

Authorities say a man wanted for an armed robbery in St. Martin is on the run, and they’re asking the U.S. Marshals for help bring him in.

When Jackson County deputies arrived at the K & J Coin Laundry on Lemoyne Boulevard Monday morning, they found the owner with her hands bound. About that same time, a call about a road rage incident came in to the department. It turns out, the two were related.

Investigators believe a customer came into the laundry during the robbery, surprising the suspect. He took off, but the customer followed.

The chase ended in the Langley Point area of St. Martin where that witness led deputies to the suspect’s wrecked vehicle.

Deputies say the man they’re looking for is Cuong V. Pham, 29. They believe, after wrecking the other vehicle, he then stole his brother-in-law’s 1997 black Dodge Ram with the Mississippi license tag JH1 684.

Investigators say it’s possible that Pham fled to Louisiana, Texas, or even further west. They’ve asked the U.S Marshals Gulf Coast Fugitive Task Force for assistance bringing their suspect to justice.

If you have any information that could help track Pham down, call the Jackson County Sheriff’s Department at (228) 769-3063, or Crime-Stoppers at 1-877-787-5898.
