In West Indies Cricket news, sports promoter, Sted Wallen from Birmingham staged yet another memorable tribute to the late great  Malcolm Marshall, widely known as one of the nicest men in cricket.

The Memorial Cup in his honour this year took place on Sunday 25th August 2013 at the Handsworth Park Birmingham.

Attendance this year matched that of last year and was suported by several well know brands such as Sackville Travel, DIGICEL, Jewel Isle Rum Punch and others.

As did he last year, the Lord Mayor Councillor Mike Leddy attended and presided over the day’s proceedings by giving the key speech of support and congratulation to founder / organiser Sted Wallen and his team.

High Commissioner for Antigua and Barbuda Dr Carl B. W. Roberts CMG graced the event with his presence and delivered a pointed message about the importance and relevance of such events to the community.

CaribDirect was on hand to capture the the event on camera including the scheduled cricket matches that provoked much debate and conversation among the ardent cricket lovers.
