In West Indies Cricket news, it’s here again…the ever popular Malcolm Marshall Memorial Cup cricket match organised by founder / organiser Sted Wallen and his brother Terry Wallen.
The Caribbean community of Birmingham came out Sunday 26th
The event this year, planned for Sunday 25th August 2013 at the Handsworth Park has been going for 13 years now and is a staple for many cricket lovers and the general family looking for a fun afternoon with food music and good vibes.
Supported by veteran cricketer Sir Vivian Richards, the Channel 4 Malcolm Marshall Memorial Cup last year was dedicated to the prominence of the London Olympics with the Jamaica Olympic training camp being in Birmingham coupled with the celebration of Jamaica’s 50th anniversary of independence.
No doubt all roads will lead to Handsworth Park in three weeks and CaribDirect, as usual, will be there to take pictures and enjoy the proceedings and we encourage you too to come out as well.
