Day 11 of the Olympic Torch Relay sees the Flame travel by RNLI Lifeboat and visit the summit of Snowdon, where it will be carried by mountaineer Sir Chris Bonington.

Other Torchbearers during the day include Olympic gymnast Beth Tweddle, who carries the Flame in Saltney.

Aspiring athlete Connor Laverty, 16, from Anglesey, will carry the Flame for the journey by RNLI Lifeboat from Beaumaris to the Menai Bridge.

The Flame will travel to the summit of Snowdon/Yr Wyddfa in Snowdonia/Yr Wyddfa in a miner’s lantern on the Snowdon Mountain Railway. This is where Torchbearer Sir Chris started climbing 61 years ago.

The Flame will travel by another mode of transport when it is carried by cable car to the summit of Great Orme.

The first Torchbearer of the day will be 15-year-old Lorna Price from Amlwch, who was nominated through the LOCOG public nomination campaign for overcoming her visual impairment to compete in karate and gymnastics. She will start with the Flame at Beaumaris Castle.

Towards the end of a two-hour show in Chester, the last Torchbearer of the day will light a celebration cauldron on stage at the event.

On Day 11 the Flame will be carried through the following communities:
Beaumaris, Menai Bridge, Conwy, Deganwy, Llandudno, Penrhyn Bay, Rhos on Sea, Colwyn Bay, Old Colwyn, Abergele, Towyn, Kinmel Bay, Rhyl, Rhuddlan, Connah’s Quay, Shotton, Queensferry, Hawarden, Saltney and Chester.
