Caribbean news. According to several new reports, a Caucasian man was said to have thrown a suspicious package over the perimeter wall of the United States Embassy in Kingston, Jamaica on the morning of April 1st. This caused an emergency response that had local and international law enforcement officers at the venue.

Regular day to day activities were put on hold as the embassy had to close down to have this matter investigated. The man was apprehended.

Some hours after, an update was sent via http://jamaica-gleaner.com/, that the suspicious item that was revealed to be a bag had nothing threatening in it. At that point, the suspect was being questioned. The incident happened several days before US President  Barack Obama is due to arrive in the island.
