The Jamaica Diaspora ShowTM aims to provide its viewership with information on important issues and current matters relative to Jamaica, Jamaican Diaspora and the entire Caribbean . The show will feature coverage of diaspora events, news and activities including interviews with important Caribbean nationals in the diaspora as well as key officials and business people in Jamaica who are actively engaged and contributing to Jamaica’s growth and development.
The show is based out of Hartford, Connecticut, USA which boasts the 3rd largest population of Jamaicans in the United States. It is the home of the Jamaica Progressive League (Hartford branch), the West Indian Social Club of Hartford, Inc., Marcus Garvey Way, Caribbean American Society, Cricket Hall of Fame, and several other West Indian organizations. The show is sponsored by Hartford Public Access Television (www.hpatv.org) and will air weekly on Channel 5 covering local, national and international topics in business, sports, arts, entertainment, politics, health, education, immigration, trade and investment.
The Jamaica Diaspora ShowTM will deliver information on activities associated with Jamaica’s National Development Plan Vision 2030, Jamaica Logistics Hub Initiative, Economic Growth Council, Caribbean Diaspora Delivery System (CDDS), Jamaica Diaspora Conferences, Negril Education Environment Trust (NEET), Jamaica National Resolution Project, and the National Association of Jamaican and Supportive Organizations’ (NAJASO) initiatives including Read Across Jamaica, Marcus Garvey Foundation Scholarship Fund, See Better, Learn Better program, and the many Health and Education missions to Jamaica.
