You’re invited once again to join CaribDirect Multi-Media and Sankofa Televisual for an evening of discussion on the topic CARIBBEAN (IN)VISIBILITY ON BRITISH TV/CINEMA SCREENS. This production is part of the CaribDirect “The Caribbean And You” seminar series.
The event will take place on Thursday 5th December 2013 at the Dominica High Commission 1 Collingham Gardens, London, SW5 0HW. It will start promptly at 6.30pm and is being held in honour of the late comic genius and Kittitian, Felix Dexter who was due to chair this seminar. WHO IS SAMUELL BENTA?
Samuell Benta (27yrs old) is no stranger to the industry having Starred in multiple TV shows such as Eastenders E20, Power Rangers Operation Overdrive, Hotel Babylon, The Cut, just to name a few.
Samuel noticed the gap in entertainment for the black community and has set the trend for webseries in the country with his multiple award winning show ALL ABOUT THE MCKENZIES, which won great ensemble cast at the LA Web festival 2012 and a BEFFTA Award for Best Webseries 2012 and further nominations this year for the Screen Nation Digital is Media awards for Favourite webseries and Best webseries for the black comedy awards.
By taking action independently for three years and busting down doors he has successfully made the transition to TV after being aquisitioned by new channel LONDON LIVE, which shall launch spring next year, also having interest from other television networks he has set his intention for global sales.
