Cenuk has been specially invited by the Commonwealth Secretariat to present at Caribbean Regional Technical Workshop on Development of National Youth Entrepreneurship Policies and Directors of Youth Meeting to be held in Port of Spain, Trinidad & Tobago on the 20- 22 June 2018.
The workshop will be conducted over three days and will be highly participatory, with a combination of technical presentations by specialists/experts, good practice presentations, panel/group discussion and exercises, and Q&A sessions.
Participants will discuss issues of youth employment in the region, and existing policies, programmes and tools. They will then explore the positioning of youth entrepreneurship as a key part of advancing youth employment, and be introduced to the Commonwealth-UNCTAD Policy Guide on Youth Entrepreneurship and the Policy Brief on Youth-led Entrepreneurship for Blue and Green Economies. After considering approaches for enhancing youth entrepreneurship policies and strategies in their own countries, with input from key stakeholders such as financial institution, young entrepreneurs and regulators, they will complete a practical planning exercise. Participants will be sent a pre-reading list before the workshop to ensure they are well prepared to fully benefit.
