This achievement follows on from CENUK’s first trade mission to the Caribbean (Jamaica and Trinidad and Tobago) when a listed Nigerian firm Courteville Business Solutions, landed their footprint in Jamaica with the acquisition of one of the leading Auto Adjusters in Jamaica, Priority Loss Adjusters ltd (PLA) for an undisclosed figure.
The offices of AW Construction ltd and Storm Guard Systems ltd., will be based at the Priority Plaza in Bog Walk town center which is now becoming a hub for the facilitation and support for Jamaican Diaspora businesses wanting to return home. ‘We see a growing interest in this area mainly because we do business on both sides of the Atlantic and therefore tend to have a better appreciation of the challenges, issues and opportunities facing entrepreneurs and SME’s on both sides’ ended St.Bernard.
These Diaspora trade missions will be an annual affair and we are currently in discussion with the Small Business Association of Jamaica (SBAJ) with regards to forging
closer collaboration, with the vision of creating a sort of virtual market place to bring Jamaican and Caribbean Diaspora businesses in touch formally with their local counterparts to do business, he cited.
