Mrs. Street Forest has made and continues to make an exceptional contribution to the development of Jamaica’s capital markets and economy. For the last 15 years her tireless and innovative work and leadership at the Jamaica Stock Exchange has been to champion the strengthening of investor protection, improving financial literacy, enhancing funding for small and medium-sized business and improving regional cooperation as a means of channelling foreign direct investments into the Caribbean. Innovations at the JSE under Mrs. Street Forrest’s stewardship have so far included the establishment of the JSE Junior Market, online trading, the e-Campus, the Stock Market Game for High Schools and the US dollar market as well as new JSE offerings to the financial services industry, such as registrar and trustee services.

This award follows the JSE’s stock price increasing by over 1000% in 2015 and also being acclaimed the Number One Performing Stock Exchange in the World, for that year, by Bloomberg. (Source: https://www.jamstockex.com)
