World news. A Philadelphia woman known as the “Black Madam,” thanks to her secret body sculpting parties, has been convicted of murder after she illegally injected
A jury found Padge-Victoria Windslowe guilty of third-degree murder for the 2011 death of Claudia Aderotimi. The mother of one died after the silicone injected into her buttocks found its way into her bloodstream, and later her brain and lungs.
During her trial, Windslowe admitted she performed the procedure, but insisted her treatments were safe. After getting a lesson from a nurse in Washington Heights, New York in 1995, Windslowe says she’s performed the procedure thousands of times with no complaints. She also bragged about performing the body sculpting procedures on celebrities like Serena Williams, Nicki Minaj, and Amber Rose.
According to the Associated Press:
Padge-Victoria Windslowe’s colorful testimony during her Philadelphia trial included claims that she was “the Michelangelo of buttocks injections” and that model Amber Rose was “a walking billboard” for her work.
“I was the best, and I don’t mean that to be cocky,” Windslowe testified, explaining why celebrities would have sought her out over a licensed plastic surgeon.
The 45-year-old was also convicted of aggravated assault and the operation of deadly weapons: industrial-grade silicone and needles. The assault charges were added over a 2013 “pumping party” that left 23-year-old Sherkeei King hospitalized.
The former madam says she continued performing procedures after Aderotimi and King’s hospitalizations. Assistant District Attorney Bridget Kirn says the operations were dangerous for everyone involved, since Windslowe wasn’t a professional and would use cotton balls and super glue to close injection areas. Kirn added that Windslowe made up to $600,000 after charging $1 per injected cubic centimeter of silicone.
Windslowe will hear her official sentencing on June 11. The Philly native faces 20 to 40 years in jail just on the murder conviction. Article courtesy http://globalgrind.com
