Ayanna Witter-Johnson is performing at LSO Luke’s in Old Street later this month! Earlier this year she was commissioned by the London Symphony Orchestra to compose a piece for percussion ensemble where she will be performing alongside them. She took the opportunity to pay further homage to her mother and the Ghanaian West African Dance troupe they were both a part of when she was a child. The piece is called ‘Forever’ and speaks to her earliest memories of a lasting love for dance and music. Extraordinary Jazz Pianist Gwilym Simcock will also join them and there will be a full evening of beautiful music from them on Saturday 20th November at LSO St. Luke’s in Old Street.
This concert will also be streamed live on the LSO YouTube Channel so either way you’ll be able to catch it live or afterwards 🙂 Check out our channel…
