Following on from the harsh and inhumane treatment of descendants of the Windrush generation in the UK it is no surprise our Black footballers are abused and disrespected. The history of racism against Black people has cemented itself in UK society and is therefore no surprise Black footballers who give their all for the England team are loved when they win but loathed when they lose.
