The
What an enticing thought, but which are legitimate? Which have the proven ability to replace the 9-5s and 8-4s, the early morning traffic and bustling lunch hours?
One glance at Facebook should make this question more than obvious – sales! Becoming a sales representative for a company; this requires a capital investment. Selling clothing, shoes, make-up, herbal pharmaceuticals and technology are by far the most prominent work from home options exploited in the Caribbean.
Some of the most common names that encourage persons to be their own boss include: HerbaLife (http://opportunity.herbalife.com/) and GNLD (http://www.gnld.com/lifestyle_home.aspx), the success stories are well known for making anyone want to fire their boss and sign up! These are quite legitimate but all depends on your personal ability to make that sale and belief in the products being sold. If you aren’t good at sales, your capital would be in their pockets and the returns non-existent.
However, a new job is emerging in popularity and favor, and that job is to be
a blogger. One who uses social media to promote a business’ products and\or service by posting the latest promotions and news – entertainment and otherwise, to encourage or increase the traffic to the business’ website or Facebook page, thereby increasing sales. What is the qualification to be a blogger and can it become a full time job? I most recently found a company named Toucan (http://www.toucan.ae/cast-crew/role.php?jobid=20) that was searching for just that! Persons willing to dedicate their time to be on
Facebook and Twitter, posting jokes, funny YouTube videos, chatting and socializing – what a job! And yes, a legitimate one to boot, perhaps the perfect work from home opportunity, and one I’m sure most of us are envious of since we do just that – spend all our time on Facebook, only for no pay. This job’s pre-requisites simply entail mastery of the English language, a most alluring opportunity in my opinion.
Freelancing is also popular in the Caribbean, the worldwide supply for professionals, particularly in technology, is short and demand high. In addition, companies abroad hiring freelancers are economically smart and cutting labor costs. Companies assist this relationship or opportunity such as ODesk (https://www.odesk.com/w/odesk_story), thus we (Caribbean professionals) no longer need a green card or work permit for job opportunities. So put down your briefcase and pick up your laptop – let’s work from home today!
