The latest single from Reggae artist Tarrus Riley’ “Love Salute” was released globally on streaming services Friday, November 19th with the official music video making its debut Saturday, November 20th.
A contemporary take on Roots Reggae, with an infectious baseline and familiar vocal sample, “Love Salute” is a heart-warming track that appeals to young audiences and seasoned reggae fans. The roots connection is real, with heavy bass, horns, and a haunting vocal refrain unearthed by producer Kareem Burrell from “Hold On” a Marcia Griffiths nugget released in 1997 on the X-terminator label, founded by Fattis Burrell (father of the producer). The spirit of lover’s rock and a message of one love deserves a love salute.
